FORMS | Enhancements for Repeatable Fields and Tables on Forms

Issue:

• Repeatable fields are often missed as they are not expanded by default.

• Required fields within repeatable sections are not validated unless manually expanded.

• There's no mechanism to enforce a minimum number of entries in repeatable fields.

Proposed Solutions:

1. Show First Entry by Default:

   • Introduce a "Show first entry" checkbox for repeatable items.

   • The first entry appears ready for input without needing to click "Open" or "Add Row".

   • Partial completion prompts validation; empty fields are not considered during validation.

2. Require Minimum Entries:

   • Add a "Require {x} entries" setting for repeatable fields.

   • Pre-opens the specified number of entries that must be completed before form submission.

   • Ensures all required fields in repeatable entries are validated.

Benefits:

• Reduces the risk of missing repeatable sections.

• Ensures required fields within repeatable sections are validated.

• Offers flexible form design without cluttering the form.

• Simplifies form maintenance by eliminating the need for default answers.
