The proposed feature aims to enhance the interactivity and comprehensiveness of form responses by allowing respondents to record and upload a video as their answer to specific questions.
Introduce a feature within the form builder that allows form creators to add a "Video Response" field. Respondents can then record a video directly through their device's camera or upload a pre-recorded video as their answer.
Within the form builder, introduce a new field type called "Video Response."
When this field is added to a form, respondents will see an option to "Record Video" or "Upload Video" as their answer.
The recorded or uploaded video should be stored securely and be easily accessible for review by the form reviewer.
Ensure compatibility with various device types and browsers, and provide clear instructions or prompts for respondents on how to record or upload their video.
Video responses can provide a richer context and clarity compared to text or image-based answers. Whether it's showcasing completed work, providing a walkthrough for a quote, demonstrating a skill, or sharing a testimonial, video responses can capture nuances and details that other response types might miss.
Job Reports: "Upload a video summarising the completed work, highlighting the areas serviced, repairs made, and any recommendations for future maintenance."
Quote Requests: "Upload a video walkthrough of your property to receive a quote for our services."
Training and Assessment: "Upload a video of you performing this skill."
Testimonials: "Upload a video sharing your personal experience with our services, including the challenges you faced and how our solutions made a difference."
To manage storage efficiently and ensure optimal system performance, videos uploaded to the system will be recycled (deleted) after a specified duration. It's recommended to set this duration to either 30 or 60 days, after which the videos will be automatically removed.
Users should be informed of this policy when uploading videos to set clear expectations.
