Dark Mode and Font Size Adjustments

We’ve received a fantastic feature suggestion from one of our clients, Eduardo from TORO Services Pty Ltd, regarding the Dark Mode functionality and font size customization across the Formitize platforms. Here's the detailed breakdown:

Objective:

Enhance the accessibility and user experience across all Formitize platforms by providing Dark Mode and Font Size Adjustment features to cater to users with visual preferences or sensitivities.

Platforms to Target:

1. Formitize Mobile App:

   • Feature to Implement: Full Dark Mode (dark background with light text).

   • Font Size Adjustment: Users will have the option to adjust the font size according to their preferences.

   • Benefits:

     • Improved readability, especially in low-light environments.

     • Reduced eye strain for users who prefer darker screen settings.

     • Customizable font size for improved accessibility.

2. Formitize Web Management Portal:

   • Feature to Implement: Full Dark Mode (dark background with light text).

   • Font Size Adjustment: Custom font size options.

   • Benefits:

     • Enhanced user comfort during extended sessions in the portal.

     • User-configurable display settings that adapt to individual visual needs.

3. Client Portal:

   • Feature to Implement: Font Size Adjustment only (since the Dark Mode option is already available).

   • Benefits:

     • Allow users to modify text size to improve readability and minimize visual fatigue.

Justification:

• User Feedback: Eduardo highlighted that while using Dark Mode on other applications, he finds it much easier on his eyes, especially when paired with adjustable font sizes. This feedback highlights the growing need for more flexible user interface options for accessibility.

• User Experience: By offering Dark Mode and customizable font sizes, we can ensure that all users have a more comfortable experience, especially those with visual sensitivities or preferences.

• Cross-Platform Consistency: With the Dark Mode already available on the Client Portal, this request aims to extend these features to both the Formitize App and Web Management Portal, ensuring consistency in the user experience across all platforms.

Absolutely loving the dark mode option on the client portal currently, have had a potential client reach out about customising the app and having some selectable options for their own visibility. Advised that the white screen and small font can be harsh on his eyes and would like to be able to edit the font size to his liking and adjust the colours.
