Ability to Add Attachments to Communication Emails (Web & App)

Overview:

  • The proposed feature aims to enhance the communication capabilities by allowing users to add attachments to emails sent directly from various sections of the platform, both on the Web Portal and the App.

Detailed Request:

  • Currently, while users can attach files to emails with invoices and reports, there is a limitation when it comes to sending emails directly from the job, contact, or using the send button at the top of each screen in the Web Portal.

  • Users have expressed the need to attach files, such as PDF leaflets about a service or images showcasing job completion.

  • Additionally, there's a suggestion to facilitate the quick addition of a Webform link to these emails.

How Should It Work:

  1. Introduce an "Add Attachment" option in the email interface when sending emails from the job, contact, or using the send button in the Web Portal and App.

  2. Allow users to browse and select files from their device or the platform's storage.

  3. Provide a dedicated button or option to quickly add a Webform link to the email.

  4. Ensure compatibility with various file formats, especially commonly used ones like PDF and image formats.

  5. Ensure that the user interface remains intuitive and that attachments are clearly visible before sending the email.

Implication & Need:

Being able to attach relevant files to communication emails enhances the platform's versatility and ensures comprehensive communication with recipients.
